Augustinian Seminary Fund - How Can I Help?

Br. J. Stephen Payne, O.S.A. (right), the newest Augustinian Friar, professes his first temporaty vows in the Order of Saint Augustine. Prior Provincial William Lego, O.S.A. (center) receives Brother Payne's profession. Brother Payne is now continuing his initial formation as an Augustinian. The Augustinian Guild helps to support the formation and seminary training of young Augustinians.

The seminary fund is used for the education of our young members who are preparing for profession of the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience as members of the Midwest Province of Our Mother of Good Counsel and, in some cases for ordination to the priesthood.

The fund sustains our candidates, priests and brothers for both their religious formation years and in higher education leading to a degree or accreditation in order to serve in our various ministries: Catholic education, university teaching, parish ministry, foreign missions, seminary training, care of the sick and elderly, hospital chaplaincy, counseling and retreats for people of all ages.

Good training, education and solid preparation are essential so that younger Augustinians can function as leaders in their particular field of expertise. All of this is very expensive today, but we must continue to seek the best training for our men.

As we celebrate the 66th anniversary of the founding of the Midwest Augustinian Province, we offer you an opportunity to assist financially as younger Augustinians prepare to take the places of our older members, thus continuing the Augustinian spirit in all we do.
