Augustinians Receive 2015 Constant Contact All Star Award

The Midwest Augustinians, the Province of Our Mother of Good Counsel, has been named a 2015 All Star Award winner by Constant Contact®, Inc., the trusted marketing advisor to hundreds of thousands of small organizations worldwide. The annual award recognizes the most successful 10% of Constant Contact’s customer base, based on their significant achievements leveraging online marketing tools to engage their customer base and drive results for their organization.

Pope Benedict XVI propelled conversations around the Catholic Church’s need to evangelize a new continent:  “the digital continent.”  Since he did, the Church has built blogs, video platforms, mobile apps, and more to engage the public, especially younger generations.  In 2013, the Midwest Augustinians joined the movement by re-launching their mobile-ready website, being active on social networks, and communicating with our supporters through email.  In 2015, the Federation of Augustinians of North America also joined in re-launching the Augustinian Vocations website, blog, email campaigns, and social networking.

“The All Star Award means that we are engaging with our friends as effectively as possible online,” said Patrick T. Murphy, Associate Director for Communications of the Midwest Augustinians.  “It means that we have had engaging content that our email subscribers open more frequently than other emails, and that they frequently click on the links in our emails to learn more.”  Winning this All-Star Award two years in a row means that the Midwest Augustinians among the top 5.6% of most effective email communications supported by Constant Contact.  The Augustinians plan to expand their online efforts in the coming year by introducing a peer-to-peer fundraising platform.

Small businesses and nonprofits using Constant Contact’s online marketing tools are eligible for this award. Criteria used to select this year’s All Stars included the following:

  • Level of engagement with email campaigns
  • Open, bounce, and click-through rates
  • Use of social sharing features
  • Use of mailing list sign-up tool
  • Use of reporting tools

“At Constant Contact, we aim to help small businesses become marketers so they can do even more business. Our All Stars are leading the way, showing us the difference online marketing can make for a small business. It’s truly inspiring,” said John Orlando, chief marketing officer at Constant Contact. “We’re thrilled to recognize the Midwest Augustinians for their commendable achievements in 2015 with this All Star Award.”
