Augustinians Mark International Day for the Eradication of Poverty
The United Nations has declared October 17 as "International Day for the Eradication of Poverty." Ban Ki Moon, the UN's Secretary-General, has said, "On this day we recommit to think, decide and act together against extreme poverty -- and plan for a world where no-one is left behind. Our aim must be prosperity for all, not just a few."

This weekend, millions of Catholics will be donating to the World Mission Sunday fund. It is more than just a second collection, though. Augustinians Welcome New Director of Finance
The Augustinians are pleased to welcome Robert O. Carroll, Jr., as the new Director of Finance for the Midwest Augustinians. Robert graduated from Illinois State University in 1980 with a degree in accounting, passed the CPA exam in 1982, and graduated from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 1984. He was ordained a permanent deacon in the Archdiocese of Chicago by the late Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I.
