Following his transfer from St. Ann and Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Michigan, Fr. Joe McCormick, O.S.A. has now taken over leadership at St. Bernard Parish, in Homer Glen, IL. Together with Our Mother of Good Counsel and St. Jude, the Augustinians now serve three parishes in the Diocese of Joliet.

The Augustinian Commission for Justice and Peace encourages Augustinian schools, parishes, and communities to observe International Day of Peace, September 21, 2017, with learning, prayer and other actions to promote peace, and invites all who identify with Augustinian spirituality to do likewise.

On Saturday, August 5 the Order of St. Augustine received the solemn profession of vows from Brs. Nicholas Porter and Philip Yang, OSA, both of whom belong to the Western Province. The Mass of Profession was held at Founder's Chapel on the campus of the University of San Diego.

Fr. Richie Mercado, O.S.A. has been appointed the new Vocation Director for the Midwest and Canadian Provinces effective July 1, 2017.

On Saturday, June 17, Augustinian Fr. Stephen Isley was ordained to the priesthood at St. Rita Shrine Chapel, Chicago
