In recent years, the Midwest Augustinians have been increasing their presence and ministry in the diocese of Joliet.

The Order of St. Augustine in Canada has managed a parish and shrine at Marylake in King City, Ontario for almost sixty years and seeks to hire their first Advancement Officer in the history of the Shrine.

The Province of Our Mother of Good Counsel of the Augustinian Order has an immediate opening for a full-time accounting/administrative assistant in their Treasurer’s office.

We are looking for an energetic, organized, "people person” who enjoys working with a variety of people in a pleasant setting. This person must be flexible, service-oriented, and a total team player willing to learn new things. He or she must be comfortable working for a Catholic mission organization, and with the donors and volunteers who support that mission.

Letter to the Order of St. Augustine from the Prior General

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

In light of the recent report on clerical abuse by the grand jury of Pennsylvania, I have felt compelled to address this by briefly commenting on how disheartening this has been.  Just the idea, let alone the evidence produced, of over 1000 children and young people abused by hundreds of clergy and religious is stunning.

The Augustinians mourn the loss of another brother, as Br. John J. Stobba, OSA has gone to eternal life. He took his last breath on August 14, 2018 at 11:20pm. He was 88 years of age.

Please join the Augustinians in mourning the loss of Fr. Alfred M. Burke, OSA, who passed away at 8:05 PM, Japan time, on June 20, 2018.

On the morning of Monday, June 4 the delegates of the Midwest Augustinian Province officially opened the week-long Provincial Chapter and promptly elected Fr. Anthony Pizzo, OSA, as the incoming Prior Provincial. Fr. Pizzo, who has been serving as the Pastor of St. Rita of Cascia Parish in Chicago, will be installed as Prior Provincial at an evening prayer service at St. Rita Shrine Chapel at St. Rita High School this Wednesday, June 6. The service will begin at 6:30 PM, and all are invited to attend.
