Photos from St. Rita Feast Day

On Thursday, May 22, Catholics across the world joined in honoring St. Rita of Cascia, an Augustinian nun, widow, and Patron Saint of Impossible Causes.  She is also known as the "Peacemaker" for her incredible life story of forgiveness (click here to read her inspirational story).

The Midwest Augustinians gathered at the St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel in Chicago to celebrate her Feast Day.  Father Tom McCarthy, O.S.A., who graduated from St. Rita High School and now serves as the school's board chairman as well as the Augustinian Director of Vocations, celebrated the Mass.  The Feast Day was celebrated after the conclusion of the 107th annual novena to St. Rita.

Please enjoy the photos below!  God bless you and thank you for your prayers to St. Rita!
