St. Bernard Parish Enjoys Men's Club Fishing Derby

The St. Bernard Parish Men's Club in Homer Glen held its Annual Fishing Derby last Saturday to great success. Over 100 children and adults gathered for a day of friendly competition in shared community. The fish were biting: Dominick Zaker took first prize with the biggest catch of the day, a ten-inch bass. Two other competitors caught eighteen fish each and another pair reeled in seventeen each. The event was made possible by the generosity of several local sponsors, including Meijer, Jack Lebert, Home Depot, McDonald's, and Jewel, whose support helped create a memorable and welcoming atmosphere for participants of all ages.

The enthusiasm and smiles on the faces of children and adults alike were a testament to the power of simple, joyful community gatherings. The Men's Club looks forward to seeing everyone back at the pond next year.
